Calathea Vittata

PLANT ME

Well-draining pots are essential and make sure it is the right size for my root system and foliage. Pick a colour that adds positive energy to your home.

KEEP ME IN

Somewhere with some bright indirect light if you want me to smile. Just remember that if you see my leaves fade I need more shade.

PUT ME OUT

Somewhere that makes me feel nostalgia for the tropical rainforests that I come from. A bright room with plenty of shade or a tropical garden bed with shade too.

WATER ME

Lots of good quality water, I prefer distilled, filtered or rain water but tap is fine so long as you let it sit for a while before I drink it. Listen to my drinking habits and just be sure that my soil is moist and never wet.

FEED ME

With a general houseplant fertiliser every four weeks during the warm months. There is no reason to in the winter as I naturally grow slowly during this season.

I LIKE

A comfortable and humid environment. Feel free to mist me with water and wipe down my pretty leaves with a damp cloth.

Care Tips	If you notice any of my leaves scorched brown make sure to put me somewhere with less sun and cut the dead leaves. Wipe down my leaves with a damp cloth if you ever want to give me some extra love. To keep this plant vibrant and healthy remove any yellow or brown leaves. Avoid putting me through any sudden temperature changes and remember how much I love warmth and humidity.
